PHAROS Excimer Lasers (EX-308) deliver highly concentrated beams of ultraviolet light to targeted areas of the skin for the treatment of psoriasis, vitiligo, atopic dermatitis, and leukderma without adversely effecting surrounding tissue. Treatments are generally painless and can be performed in a matter of minutes. Treatments are performed twice weekly for approximately 4 to 12 weeks. A rest period of 2 weeks is taken, then another series of treatments is started if needed.
The Excimer is ideal for treating mild to moderate psoriasis on typically hard to treat areas such as knees, elbows, and scalp.
Treatment of vitiligo with the Excimer causes small dots of pigmentation. As treatment progresses, these spots coalesce filling the affected area.
