Hair removal has never been easier or safer than with the GentleLase and GentleYag. We now have the capability of treating all skin types with laser hair removal using the GentleYAG The GentleYAG 1064 laser can be used year round, with multiple spot sized, variable pulse durations, and cryogen cooling for patient comfort. An additional feature of the GentleYAG is the treatment of wrinkles and skin tightening.
The GentleLase is a long pulsed Alexandrite laser that sends a beam of light into the skin where it is absorbed by the hair follicle. The energy is transformed into heat destroying the hair follicle without damaging the surrounding skin. This skin is further protected by a spray of cryogen cooling the upper layers causing less discomfort.
Dermatologic Laser Center's policies require that at least one physician must be onsite at all times. Our physicians set all eqiupment parameters and are availble if needed, but the actual hair removal procedures are performed by our qualified nursing staff.
Laser Hair Removal Services are considered cosmetic procedures and therefore do not qualify for insurance reimbursement.
